Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore Trip

viewer(s)

With both Krissy and I working all summer, we decided to go on a little trip. We debated about going west, Colorado, Montana, maybe even east, Smoky Mountains, but the longest period of time we were both free was only 7 days. So we decided to keep it close driving distance, and a fellow co-worker of hers suggested Sleeping Bear Dunes in Michigan.

We wanted to go camping, so we looked there and decided we should go, and the campgrounds there don't have reservations so we would just show up, take a chance. That's the gist of it, needless to say we were lucky to find a campsite, but it all worked well.

Nothing was really planned for the trip, played it day by day. We drove around a lot, relaxed, laid on the beach, went sight seeing, and just plainly had a good time. We left August 4th, and returned August 10th, and did almost 1500 miles on Krissy's new car. The pictures here are pretty well self explanatory; I've added a comment above each picture to tell you where the picture came from. If you have any questions, let me know, otherwise enjoy.
